Abstract:
As the most characteristic laboratory indicator of autoimmune diseases (AID), autoantibodies have significant clinical value in classification, diagnosis, prediction, prognosis and disease assessment of AID. Autoantibody detection is applicable to health checkup and is of great significance for the early screening of AID. The guideline development was initiated by the National Clinical Research Center for Rheumatic and Autoimmune Diseases (NCRC-RAD), jointly with the Key Laboratory of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology of the Ministry of Education, China Rheumatism Data Center, and Chinese Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Treatment and Research Group. The development process employed the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) system, and adhered to the Reporting Items for Practice Guidelines in Healthcare (RIGHT) checklists, while incorporating clinical practices specific to China. The guideline comprises 5 evidence-based recommendations for the application of autoantibodies detection in healthy checkup, aiming to harmonize the significance, screening population, item selection, post-test management and detection method of autoantibodies in health checkup.
