Abstract:
Burn injuries remain a major clinical challenge due to delayed healing, infection risk, and fibrosis. This study employed in silico simulations to compare three therapeutic strategies: (1) silver sulfadiazine (standard care), (2) Quantum-Smart Proteins (QSPs) designed using AI and structural modeling, and (3) QSPs combined with Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT, 808 nm, 2 J/cm2). Simulated outcomes over 21 days included re-epithelialization, fibrosis, angiogenesis, and tissue biomechanics. Results indicated that QSPs improved wound healing compared to standard care, with the QSP+LLLT group showing the most favorable outcomes. These findings are preliminary and computational in nature but highlight QSPs as a promising avenue for regenerative therapeutics that warrants experimental validation. All findings in this study represent computational predictions only and have not been experimentally validated.
