Abstract:
Traditional radiolabeling is insufficient foe the complies chemical space we are working with today. Efficient labeling of diverse heteroaromatic chemical space is where the radiochemical innovations begin. Rapid growth using nuclear medicine for personalized medicine and support drug discovery efforts, is putting unprecedented demand on radiochemistry manufacturing. New methods for rapid selection of a lead tracer, identification of labeling precursor and novel approaches for rapid radiosynthesis optimization, are required. Challenges with these new approaches: organic synthesis: making precursorsbecome a significant bottleneck, use-friendliness: requires a significant amount of focused work, adaptation and adoption: refine and generalize workflows, open-source, user friendly software tools, expansion: to other conditions, radionuclides andreaction manifolds.
