What Is Already Known About This Topic?:
Bisphenols and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are endocrine-disrupting chemicals found in aquatic ecosystems. Henan, a critical water conveyance region within the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, encompasses four river basins characterized by complex hydrological conditions. However, systematic monitoring of contaminant levels remains insufficient.

This study identified key priority pollutants and highlighted the dominance of short-chain PFASs in the region.
