Abstract:
Medication nonadherence is a common problem encountered by hospitalists. A systematic approach is needed to identify contributors to medication nonadherence in clinical settings. The COM-B model is a commonly used framework to understand drivers of behavior. This perspective illustrates how clinicians can use the COM-B framework as a diagnostic schema for medication nonadherence.
