Multidisciplinary management of rare scrotal hemangioma in adolescents: A case report

Hemangiomas are benign vascular tumors characterized by rapid endothelial cell proliferation. A 16-year-old male presented with scrotal swelling sized 25x25 × 15 cm with arterio-venous malformation in the scrotal region based on the contrast computed tomography angiography examination. Treatment management consisted of embolization carried out by thoracic and vascular surgeon, surgery of the scrotal hemangioma performed by urologist, and the closure of the wound using locoregional flap completed by the plastic surgeon. Scrotal hemangioma cases require enhanced clinical awareness, accurate diagnostic imaging, and precise surgical management to prevent further complications and achieve optimal outcomes.
