A Case of Recurrent Acute Myocardial Infarction Complicated With Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura

Managing patients with immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and thrombocytopenia is challenging when they present with AMI, especially when platelets are severely decreased after interventional therapy. Our case shows that such patients, if stable, can be safely and successfully treated with glucocorticoid to improve platelet count after proceeding to invasive management and dual antiplatelet medications.
