Objective:
To analyze the outcomes and associated intervention factors in elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT).
Methods:
A retrospective analysis was performed on 67 AML patients aged≥60 years who received allo-HSCT in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and Soochow Hopes Hematonosis Hospital from June 2012 to September 2024. Based on HCT-CI score, the patients were divided into 0-1 group (36 cases), 2-3 group (20 cases) and≥4 group (11 cases), and the differences in survival, relapse, transplant-related mortality (TRM), disease-free survival (DFS), graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and GVHD-free, relapse-free survival (GRFS) among the 3 groups were compared.
Results:
Among the 67 patients, the 1-year survival rate was 68.66%, 1-year relapse rate was 19.40%, 1-year TRM was 14.93%, and 1-year DFS rate was 67.16%. There were no significant differences in survival, relapse, TRM, DFS, GVHD and GRFS among HCT-CI 0-1, 2-3 and≥4 groups.
Conclusion:
Allo-HSCT has good outcomes for AML patients aged≥60 years. There was no significant correlation between HCT-CI score and survival outcome.
