Abstract:
Gastric cancer (GC) remains a significant health burden in Taiwan, where current international guidelines may not fully align with local clinical realities. This expert consensus presents the 2025 Taiwan Consensus and Management Guidelines for Gastric Cancer, developed by a multidisciplinary taskforce from 17 medical institutions, including experts in oncology, gastroenterology, surgery, and pathology. Using a modified Delphi process and evidence-based literature review, 23 key clinical questions were identified and addressed. Recommendations encompass screening strategies, indications for endoscopic resection, perioperative treatment for locally advanced disease, biomarker-guided therapy, and palliative care. This consensus integrates both global evidence and local practice patterns, aiming to support individualized and practical decision-making for GC management in Taiwan.
