Abstract:
We present a genome assembly from an individual male Endromis versicolora (Kentish Glory; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Endromidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 391.90 megabases and 391.44 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.84%) is scaffolded into 26 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.6 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
Species Taxonomy:
Eukaryota; Opisthokonta; Metazoa; Eumetazoa; Bilateria; Protostomia; Ecdysozoa; Panarthropoda; Arthropoda; Mandibulata; Pancrustacea; Altocrustacea; Allotriocarida; Hexapoda; Insecta; Dicondylia; Pterygota; Neoptera; Eumetabola; Endopterygota; Aparaglossata; Panorpida; Amphiesmenoptera; Lepidoptera; Glossata; Neolepidoptera; Heteroneura; Ditrysia; Obtectomera; Bombycoidea; Endromidae; Endromis; Endromis versicolora (Linnaeus, 1758) (NCBI:txid119269).
