Abstract:
Dental fluorosis alters the structure and acid resistance of dental hard tissues and impairs bonding performance. For fluorotic teeth requiring direct composite resin restorations, veneers/full-crown restorations for abnormal color and morphology, as well as orthodontic bracket bonding, reliable enamel-dentin bonding remains a key clinical concern. Based on the histopathological features of hard tissues in fluorotic teeth, this paper reviews advances in clinical-bonding research and summarizes appropriate clinical bonding strategies to inform clinical diagnosis, treatment and further related research.
