Delivering continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is an integral mode of organ support provided on intensive care units (ICU). This article provides readers with a comprehensive understanding of CRRT, covering indications for therapy and when and how to start it. Supporting this information are practical tips to help improve therapy efficacy and a summary of the current evidence which should underpin clinical decision making.
