Abstract:
Hebeloma is distinguished by its unique combination of edible and toxic species and represents one of the most species-rich lineages within the family Hymenogastraceae. Here, we present the first mitogenome of the genus and family, from Hebeloma cinnamomeum. The circular mitogenome is 48,854 bp in length, with a GC content of 29.89%. It comprises 14 conserved protein-coding genes, 24 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and four non-conserved open reading frames (ORFs). As the first mitogenome of Hymenogastraceae, it provides a key genomic resource for studying mitochondrial evolution in the family.
