Abstract:
An amorphous CuNiAgCe medium-entropy metallic glass was synthesized via ultrafast pulsed Joule heating for electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia. The abundant synergistic active sites on its surface establish a novel tandem catalytic pathway that successfully decouples linear scaling relationships. As a result, the catalyst delivers a remarkable ammonia yield rate of 520.86 µmol h-1 cm-2 and a faradaic efficiency of 99.72% at a low potential of -0.3 V vs. RHE. This work offers new insights into the design and construction of next-generation tandem synergistic catalytic sites.
