Shaping the future of community and home nursing globally
1Chair, Association of District Nurse & Community Nurse Educators, UK; Deputy Programme Director MSc/PGDip Public Health & Specialist Community Nursing (SCPHN/SPQ), City St George's, University of London, UK.
Abstract:
With an increasing focus on shifting care into community and home settings, it is crucial that the community and home nursing workforce is adequately equipped to meet growing demand and complexity. Nursing education must reflect the changing landscape of care delivery, ensuring that community and home nursing are strongly and consistently represented and that nurses are prepared for the evolving demands of practice. The Caring Beyond Walls international conference provided an important opportunity to share learning, innovation and research, while bringing the nursing community together at a critical point in the development of community and home nursing, both nationally and internationally.
