Abstract:
This review presents an overview of the reported methods for the synthesis of nitriles through the direct cyanation of organosulfur compounds via C-S bond activation. It is intended to serve as a practical guide for chemists seeking suitable desulfurative cyanation protocols for synthetic applications, while also providing inspiration for the development of new protocols in this rapidly evolving field.
