Abstract:
Low-dimensional mechanochromic luminescent materials are suitable for practical mechanosensors that detect small forces. However, mechanochromic luminescent nanosheets have rarely been reported. Here we report a dumbbell-shaped amphiphile that forms supramolecular nanosheets. The emission color of the solid obtained by drop-casting the solution containing nanosheets changes from green to orange upon grinding.
