Abstract:
We report a rare case of a 70-year-old male patient who developed a left diaphragmatic hernia combined with extensive aortic dissection and exhibited signs of lower limb ischemia following a motor vehicle accident. An urgent, single-stage surgical intervention was performed, consisting of endovascular aortic repair first to stabilize circulation, followed by diaphragmatic repair. The patient recovered smoothly postoperatively, with no abnormalities observed at 1-month and 6-month follow-ups. This case highlights the necessity of accurate diagnosis and multidisciplinary team collaboration in emergency thoracoabdominal trauma.
