Abstract:
This review highlights the MR imaging appearance of benign colonic and anorectal conditions, emphasizing anatomic landmarks and characteristic imaging patterns. MR imaging enables confident differentiation of benign neoplasms, cystic lesions, and inflammatory processes through excellent soft-tissue contrast, multiplanar capability, and advanced sequences such as diffusion-weighted imaging. As a radiation-free modality with high diagnostic performance, MR imaging plays an increasingly important role in evaluating colorectal pathology, particularly in pregnancy and in patients requiring avoidance of ionizing radiation.

Radionuclide Testing
Radionuclide testing is a sophisticated medical technique for assessing gastrointestinal motility. It focuses on gastric emptying and colonic transit time. Radioactive markers track the movement of food through the digestive system, providing insights into gastrointestinal disorders.
