Abstract:
Stabilizing highly active low-valent metal single atoms on oxide supports is challenging due to their tendency toward reduction-induced aggregation. Here, we construct Pt single atom sites on ceria nanocolloidal spheres, where the Pt sites preserve atomic dispersion under severe reducing atmospheres while delivering high activity for CO oxidation.
