Abstract:
This letter describes the derivation and internal validation of an assay-specific hs-cTnI-SPINCHIP 0/2h-algorithm for rapid triage of patients with suspected myocardial infarction (MI) in the emergency department (ED). The algorithm provided very high safety for rule-out, high accuracy for rule-in, and enabled definitive triage within 2 hours in approximately 80% of patients. These findings support the clinical potential of the novel point-of-care hs-cTnI-SPINCHIP assay for accelerated ED decision-making.
