Abstract:
In recent decades, antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) have emerged as some of the most extensively studied alternatives to conventional antibiotics. To gain deeper insights into their mechanisms of action and development, AFM has played a crucial role as an imaging and force spectroscopic tool. Here, we describe the methods used for examining the effects of AMPs on bacteria using imaging and force spectroscopy techniques. These approaches have proven essential for elucidating their mechanisms of action and identifying potential outcomes.
