Abstract:
We evaluated associations between social determinants of health and mortality in candidemia via a retrospective cohort (2017-2022). Among 237 episodes, non-English language was independently associated with higher mortality (aOR 3.22, 95% CI 1.03-10.08). Other social determinants were not significant. Non-English preferred language may identify an important difference in candidemia outcomes which warrants further investigation and validation in larger, multicenter studies.
