Abstract:
Dignity is a concept frequently invoked in bioethics, both in the literature and in practice. However, those who use the term rarely describe or define it, despite the word's multiple meanings. This article explores its various meanings, highlighting the relational context in which it is situated, whether it is attributed or intrinsic. The discussion focuses on the impact of AI-powered assistive robots, designed to combat isolation and loneliness, as well as on relationality and dignity in the broadest sense.
