Abstract:
Spatial transcriptomics is a collection of methods to quantify gene expression in situ. In cancer research, these technologies offer researchers new avenues for studying intra-tumoral heterogeneity and interactions between tumor cells and their tumor microenvironment (TME) in a spatially resolved fashion. In Ewing sarcoma research, a few pioneering spatial transcriptomics studies have begun to characterize the spatial landscape of tumors in unprecedented detail. In this chapter, we provide a series of tutorials on tissue selection, sample preparation, panel design and analysis pipeline for Ewing sarcoma spatial transcriptomic data.
