Abstract:
A hollow core-shell Mo-NiS@NiCo-LDH heterostructure on nickel foam was constructed through synergistic heteroatom doping and heterointerface engineering. DFT calculations reveal that interfacial electronic coupling modulates charge redistribution and optimizes intermediate adsorption. Benefiting from accelerated interfacial charge transfer and abundant exposed active sites, the catalyst delivers low overpotentials of 266 mV for OER and 103 mV for HER at 100 mA cm-2. The assembled AEMWE achieves a current density of 1000 mA cm-2 at a low cell voltage of 1.83 V and maintains stable operation for 100 h, demonstrating its considerable potential for practical applications.
