Abstract:
This study investigates the hot deformation behavior of 022Cr12Ni10MoTi alloy over a wide range of strain rates and temperatures. Hot compression experiments were carried out at deformation temperatures ranging from 900 °C to 1200 °C and strain rates varying from 0.01 s-1 to 10 s-1. The microstructure and flow stress of the 022Cr12Ni10MoTi alloy during hot deformation were comprehensively characterized. On the basis of the experimental data, a constitutive model was developed, and processing maps were constructed to delineate the domains of optimal workability. The results demonstrate that the deformation behavior of the 022Cr12Ni10MoTi alloy was significantly influenced by both temperatures and strain rates. Dynamic recovery and recrystallization phenomena were found to occur during hot deformation, which affect the flow stress. The established constitutive model can accurately predict the flow stress of the material during hot deformation. Through the processing maps, the feasible hot deformation regime was identified, enabling the successful fabrication of large-scale alloy forgings.
