Abstract:
During Israel's recent "Lion's Roar" conflict, health care systems faced an urgent mandate to expand surge capacity under extreme volatility. This narrative explores the rapid transition of a Nursing Research and Innovation Director from strategic oversight to frontline clinical care within the Hospital at Home (HaH) framework. A primary element of this transition was the adaptation of clinical methods and resources to align with established, evidence-based safety standards in nontraditional care settings. The experience demonstrates that nursing leadership in conflict zones is most effective when it bridges the gap between high-level innovation and ground-level execution. By emphasizing clinical presence and agile operational management, this model ensures that acute care remains safe, standardized, and patient centered, even under active threat.
