Abstract:
For patients with aortic aneurysms involving the visceral segment, historically, treatment options were limited and associated with major morbidity and mortality. More recently, an array of options have become available for these patients as a result of both refinements in perioperative management and evolution of endovascular devices and techniques. This review aims to highlight the current options for treatment of complex aortic aneurysms including open, endovascular, and hybrid approaches. We emphasize the strengths and limitations of each that may allow surgeons to tailor the approach for each individual patient.
