Abstract:
Spiral nanomembrane microcavities have shown notable flexibility in three-dimensional (3D) directional emission by predesigning the nanomembrane morphology prior to the rolling process. In this study, we demonstrate that the spatial emission of 3D optical resonances in spiral nanomembrane microcavities can be effectively tuned by the rolling edge. The 3D resonances exhibit distinct emission characteristics at different edge locations. These structural features not only introduce a gradient enabling axial oscillations of whispering-gallery modes but also act as scattering ports with controlled radiation effects. Furthermore, the feasibility of flexibly tailoring spatial emission is experimentally validated through rational edge design.
