Abstract:
In cases where complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) co-occurs with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES), it is essential to emphasize that severe interpersonal trauma is strongly associated with PNES. Failure to recognize this association may result in misdiagnosis, inappropriate treatment (including polypharmacy), and potential iatrogenic harm.
