Abstract:
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) possess diverse biological functions and play key regulatory roles in biological processes by interacting with other biomolecules, such as proteins, RNAs, and the genome. High-throughput RNA-interaction experiments have generated large volumes of lncRNA-protein interaction records. The fragmented deposition of these records across disparate public databases complicates unified retrieval and integrative analysis. Here, we present HuRInterDB (Human lncRNA-Protein Interaction Database), a comprehensive and standardized database that focuses on human lncRNA-protein interactions. HuRInterDB is a user-friendly database designed to provide an integrated resource of lncRNA-protein interaction data from 621 high-throughput datasets (encompassing 2,440,594 lncRNA-protein interactions derived from 36,184 lncRNAs and 14,888 proteins) and to support functional research on lncRNA. The web interface supports interactive searching and visualization of lncRNA-protein associations. This curated resource streamlines integrative analysis of lncRNA-protein interactions and provides a standardized foundation for future computational and experimental studies. Distinctive features include an integrated analysis module that enables interactive visualization of protein-protein interaction networks, functional word clouds, and Gene Ontology enrichment bubble plots for any queried lncRNA, as well as download functionality. HuRInterDB is freely accessible at https://nwu26-hurinterdb.share.connect.posit.cloud/, with semiannual updates and complete data downloads.
