Abstract:
Oxidation of methionine residues during immunopeptidomics analysis is a common artefact and currently no methods exist for mitigation. In this work we evaluate the use of L-Methionine as an oxygen scavenger during immunopeptidomics experimental workflows and show that it effectively protects methionine residues from artefactual oxidation. L-Methionine is easy to implement into existing workflows and is compatible with both conventional and high-throughput immunopurifications.
