Abstract:
The aim of the study was to substantiate the need to include resilience assessment in the structure of a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA). The study included 216 elderly and senile patients. A CGA was performed, supplemented with age-related resilience scales. The analysis of the interrelationships between the levels of age-related resilience and indicators of geriatric status, as well as an expert assessment of the applicability of the tools, was carried out. It was found that in the presence of frailty syndrome, the proportion of patients with a high level of resilience is lower (41,2% vs. 53,7%; p<0,05). Significant correlations were found between decreased resilience and malnutrition syndrome (r=+0,89, p<0,05), as well as sensory impairments (r=+0,68, r=+0,71, p<0,05). It was demonstrated that the RSA questionnaire and the A.V.Makhnach test have the greatest completeness of assessment and clinical applicability in accordance with the expert assessment of the applicability of the tools. The expediency of modifying a CGA by including a block for assessing age-related resilience.
