Abstract:
We report the first case of late-onset Streptococcus pyogenes endocarditis on an Amplatzer Septal Occluder, appearing five years post-implantation. Seeding originated from an infected intrauterine device, resulting in multi-organ embolization. This case highlights that interatrial occluding devices can remain vulnerable to hematogenous seeding even years after implantation, requiring multidisciplinary management.
