Abstract:
Plasma-assisted growth of approximately 2 nm Pt nanoclusters on Ni nanoparticles creates electronically coupled interfaces that accelerate alkaline seawater hydrogen evolution. The self-supported Ptnc/Ni@NF electrode reaches 10 mA cm-2 at 28 mV, operates for 450 h at 200 mA cm-2, and enables an anion-exchange-membrane electrolyzer to operate for 140 h.
