Abstract:
We report a 7,456-bp near-complete norovirus GII.P7-GII.7 genome recovered by metagenomic RNA sequencing from a pediatric stool swab collected during a 2026 gastroenteritis outbreak in Northern California. The genome expands the public genomic record of norovirus diversity and is available under GenBank accession PZ705759.
