Abstract:
The discovery of natural products has changed dramatically in recent years, and new technologies have been developed continuously to improve this process, including the integration of artificial intelligence tools. Herein, we summarize some emerging methodologies, including genome mining, activation of selected biosynthetic pathways, chemical probes, and mass spectrometry-based metabolomics. Selected examples are discussed in detail, highlighting and describing their discovery strategies.
