Abstract:
A rotational path removable partial denture (RPRPD) offers a significant esthetic advantage by minimizing or eliminating visible retentive clasps. The application has primarily been limited to tooth-supported conditions. The integration of dental implants into removable partial denture therapy has expanded treatment possibilities, particularly in distal extension treatments where support and stability are compromised. The purpose of this manuscript is to describe a case report utilizing an implant-assisted RPRPD, transforming a Kennedy Class I into a Kennedy Class III, improving patient satisfaction, biomechanics, and esthetic concerns related to anterior clasp display. This approach facilitated the successful application of RPRPD principles in a treatment that would otherwise present both biomechanical and esthetic limitations, ultimately improving functional outcomes and patient satisfaction.
