Abstract:
The paradental cyst is an inflammatory lesion commonly misinterpreted when associated with atypical clinical and radiographic features, causing difficulty in diagnosis. For this reason, the correlation of clinical, histologic, and radiographic findings is of great value in obtaining accurate diagnoses. Based on the location it is divided into 2 groups: those associated with 1st and 2nd mandibular permanent molars and those associated with the mandibular 3rd molar. The present article aimed to discuss a case of a 41-year-old male patient with a bilateral presentation paradental cyst on the mandibular third molar with more emphasis on the differential diagnosis and its possible treatments.
