Abstract:
Despite recent advances in therapeutics, metastatic colorectal cancer continues to have limited novel biomarker-driven treatment options in the second line. This commentary highlights and contextualizes the findings of the phase II DeFianCe trial, which found that targeting DKK1 in this disease did not significantly change treatment outcomes.
