Abstract:
Natural killer (NK) cell-based immunotherapy has become a research focus in cellular immunotherapy in recent years, which has advanced rapidly in the treatment of solid tumors. NK cells are key effector cells of innate immunity and can kill abnormal target cells without prior sensitization. A broad consensus holds that NK cell-based immunotherapy may become a new strategy for solid tumor treatment with lower risk and lower cost than T-cell-based immunotherapy. However, its translation from theory to clinical application remains constrained by relevant risks, and research on its cardiovascular safety is still largely absent. This review summarizes the latest research progress of NK cell-based immunotherapy in solid tumors and discusses its cardiovascular safety.
