Abstract:
A new borate fluoride, KSrB2O4F, was synthesized. Its crystal structure and optical properties were systematically investigated. KSrB2O4F exhibits a minimal birefringence of Δn = 0.0004 at 1064 nm compared to other reported beryllium-free compounds and a deep-ultraviolet cutoff edge below 190 nm, making it a promising candidate for zero-order wave plate applications.
