Abstract:
Recombinant human erythropoietin altered red blood cell surface protein expression, but responses were inconsistent and accompanied by substantial baseline variability. Although cryopreservation reduced analytical variability, it did not improve biomarker performance, indicating limited utility for detecting altered erythropoiesis.
