Abstract:
We observed directed fluorescence coupling from a one-dimensional dielectric structure consisting of two Bragg reflectors without a metal layer. The reflectors interface allows the formation of localized photonic mode to develop inside the photonic bandgap which is located at 670 nm. We used nile blue probe mixed polyvinyl alcohol thin layer on dielectric structure to study the interaction between probe dipole emission and dielectric structure. Optical simulations and dispersion studies were verified that the Tamm state was inside the light cone and was obtainable at normal incidence. Back focal plane imaging showed wavelength dependent angular redistribution.
