Background:
Aesthetic medicine has increasingly shifted toward multimodal treatment strategies that incorporate structural restoration and biostimulation to address facial aging.
Objective:
This narrative review summarizes the available evidence on hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite and provides guidance for its integration into multimodal facial rejuvenation strategies.
Materials And Methods:
A literature search was conducted in PubMed/MEDLINE to identify relevant articles on hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite.
Results:
Hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite is a dual-action, ready-to-use injectable that provides hyaluronic acid-mediated repositioning effects and calcium hydroxyapatite-mediated biostimulation through neocollagenesis and extracellular matrix remodeling. To manufacture hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite, calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres are homogeneously suspended within a cross-linked hyaluronic acid network to generate a structurally stable gel matrix with batch-to-batch consistency. Available evidence demonstrates that hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite treatment can provide immediate tissue repositioning, sustained volume restoration, enhanced facial contours, and improvements in skin laxity, quality, and texture. Ideal candidates include adults with facial skin laxity and some volume/contour loss. Incorporating hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite into multimodal treatment plans may support long-term skin health, durable aesthetic outcomes, and enhanced patient satisfaction.
Conclusion:
Hyaluronic acid-calcium hydroxyapatite is a premixed dual-action injectable that integrates volumization and biostimulation to reduce wrinkle severity, restore volume, and rejuvenate facial skin.
