    • Toxicology

    Background:

    • Alcohol abuse is a common cause of neuropathy.
    • Alcoholic neuropathy typically develops gradually during alcohol consumption.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To describe three atypical cases of alcoholic neuropathy.
    • To highlight the unusual timing of neuropathy onset in relation to alcohol cessation and vitamin B treatment.

    Main Methods:

    • Case report of three patients with alcohol use disorder.
    • Clinical observation of neuropathy development and progression.

    Main Results:

    • Three patients developed acute, asymmetrical neuropathy.
    • Neuropathy onset occurred after alcohol cessation and vitamin B saturation.
    • Patients had no prior history of neuropathy during alcohol consumption.

    Conclusions:

    • The observed neuropathy cases present an atypical clinical course.
    • Further investigation into this phenomenon is warranted.
    • Collaboration between psychiatrists and neurologists is recommended for studying alcoholic neuropathy.
