    Summary

    This study describes a fourth patient with 4q- syndrome, a chromosome abnormality characterized by a deletion on chromosome 4. The findings suggest a distinct phenotype associated with this genetic condition.

    Background:

    • The 4q- syndrome is a rare chromosomal abnormality involving a deletion on the terminal q segment of chromosome 4.
    • Previous reports have documented three patients with this condition, primarily resulting from de novo deletions.
