    Background:

    • Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease.
    • Neurological complications in AS are not well-documented.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the prevalence and types of neurological disorders in patients with ankylosing spondylitis.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective review of 45 patients diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis.
    • Detailed analysis of neurological symptoms, signs, and diagnosed neuropathological disorders.

    Main Results:

    • 10 out of 45 (22.2%) AS patients presented with neurological symptoms and signs.
    • Neurological conditions included multiple sclerosis, cauda equina syndrome, focal epilepsy, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, and peripheral nerve lesions.
