    For patients undergoing Caesarean section, diazepam and lorazepam were more effective than placebo or alcohol in reducing preoperative anxiety and awareness. Diazepam 5 mg is recommended for its balance of efficacy and infant safety.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the efficacy and safety of four premedicants for elective Caesarean section.
